What Sharelum is
In shortA review exchange where members get honest reviews from real people — not a store, and not part of any marketplace.
Sharelum connects people who want honest feedback on what they sell — products or books — with people who try them and say what they really think. Reviewers earn points; the members asking for reviews spend points to request them. Most members do both.
Sharelum is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Amazon or any other marketplace. Their own terms and review rules always apply to anything you post there.
By joining a waitlist, creating an account or otherwise using Sharelum, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Our hubs
In shortSharelum runs separate hubs: one for Amazon products and one for books. More marketplaces are coming.
- Sharelum for Amazon (amazon.sharelum.com) — products sold on Amazon, tested by members who use them.
- Sharelum Books (books.sharelum.com) — authors and readers: free ebooks (ARCs), Kindle Unlimited reads and paperbacks bought on Amazon.
Each hub is run as its own community, with its own accounts, points balance, moderators and waitlist. An account on one hub doesn't give access to another. These terms apply to every hub and to this website; a hub's own pages may add details that only apply there.
Hubs for other marketplaces are listed as coming soon. They aren't open, and nothing you see about them is an offer.
Your account
In shortYou must be 18+, use one account per hub, and keep your login safe.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person on each hub. Duplicate, shared or automated accounts may be closed.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password, passkeys and two-factor codes private.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Don't try to get around our security: no bots, scripted signups, credential stuffing, or attempts to break rate limits or bot checks.
Honest reviews only
In shortWe reward reviews for being honest and on time — never for being positive.
The whole point of Sharelum is honest feedback. Points are kept for a verified review, whatever its rating. An honest one-star review earns exactly the same as a five-star one.
- Reviewers must actually use the product or read the book before reviewing it, write in their own words, and follow the marketplace's review and disclosure rules (including any requirement to say how they got it).
- Members asking for reviews must never ask for, pressure for or reward a positive rating, ask for a review to be changed or removed, or contact reviewers outside the platform about their review.
- You can't review your own listings, and you can't review listings from someone who reviewed yours (we block review swaps).
- Fake, copied, AI-generated-without-use, or paid-for-rating reviews are not allowed.
Breaking these rules can mean points are reversed, reviews are rejected, and the account is closed.
Listing products and books
In shortEvery listing is checked by our team before reviewers can see it.
- You may only list products or books you own or are authorised to promote, with an accurate title, description and marketplace link.
- Every new listing starts as a draft and appears only after our team approves it. We may reject or remove any listing without giving a reason.
- No illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, adult or misleading listings.
- You let us show your listing details (title, cover, description, link) inside Sharelum so reviewers can find it.
Points and requests
In shortPoints are a credit inside each hub — no cash value; they can't be bought, sold or withdrawn.
Points only exist inside the hub where you earned them. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, moved between hubs, transferred to another person, or redeemed outside the platform.
- When you open a review request, its full cost (cost per review × goal) is set aside from your balance up front.
- A reviewer receives the full cost per review in points the moment they claim a slot, and keeps it once their review is verified by our moderators.
- If a claim is rejected, expires or is cancelled, the same amount is taken back from the reviewer — even if that makes their balance negative — and the slot goes back to the request. While a balance is negative, new claims and requests are paused until it's earned back.
- When a request closes, unused slots are refunded in points.
- Bonuses: 50 points when you join, 2,000 points for each person who joins with your referral link, and 10 points for a community post. We may withhold a referral bonus when the new account looks like a second account of the same person.
- Where a request asks for a verified purchase, the reviewer buys the product or book on the marketplace themselves. The extra points in that request recognise the purchase — Sharelum does not refund purchases in money.
Every movement of points is recorded. We may correct mistakes and reverse points earned by breaking these terms.
How reviews get done
In shortClaim (and get your points at once), use it, review before the deadline — moderators verify, ask for changes or reject.
- Digital items (ebooks, Kindle Unlimited reads, files) are due within the turnaround the request sets — 24, 48 or 72 hours. Physical items (products, paperbacks) get 30 days for delivery, real use and the marketplace accepting the review.
- You can extend a claim once (3 days for digital, 14 for physical), or cancel it with a reason.
- There are weekly and open-at-once limits on claims, so listings reach many different reviewers.
- Moderators check each review against its live link. They can verify it (the points paid on claim are kept), ask for changes, or reject it (the points are taken back).
Plans, founding offer and billing
In shortWe're opening to the first 100 members by invite: 12 months free, then $5/month for life.
During our founding launch, public signup is closed. You can join a hub's waitlist; we invite people in batches, in order, and each friend who joins with your link moves you 10 places up. Joining a waitlist doesn't guarantee an invite.
- Founding members (up to 100) get 12 months of full access free, with no card needed, plus 1,600 starter points.
- After the free period, founding members can continue at $5/month for as long as their subscription stays active. If you cancel later, the founding price isn't kept.
- Invite links are personal, single-use and expire.
Regular pricing is $9/month or $79/year per hub. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future billing periods with notice.
- Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, our merchant of record. They handle your card details, receipts and sales tax; we never see or store your full card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If you're not happy, contact us within 30 days of your first payment for a refund.
Community and content
In shortBe kind, post your own content, and we may remove anything that breaks the rules.
You keep ownership of what you post (reviews, posts, comments, images). You give Sharelum a licence to host and show it inside the service so it works as intended.
- No harassment, hate, spam, scams, personal data of others or content you don't have rights to.
- We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.
- Video shorts are coming soon and are not part of the service yet.
Closing an account
In shortYou can leave anytime; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
You can stop using Sharelum at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. Unused points are lost when an account is closed.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other members or puts the service at risk. Where it's fair and safe to do so, we'll tell you why.
Disclaimers and liability
In shortWe work hard to keep Sharelum running well, but we can't promise sales, rankings or that reviews stay up.
Sharelum is provided "as is". We don't guarantee any number of reviews, any rating, more sales, better ranking, or that a marketplace will keep a review published — those decisions are theirs.
Products and books are supplied by the members who list them, not by us; any issue with an item itself is between that member and the buyer.
To the extent the law allows, Sharelum isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes and contact
In shortIf these terms change in a way that matters, we tell you first.
We update these terms as the product changes. If a change materially affects you, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
