Welcome to Sharelum, where real reviews are passed from hand to hand.
Every new product starts the same way: zero reviews, and nobody willing to go first.
Sharelum is a community of real testers who buy products, use them, and review them honestly.
Here’s how it works.
Paste your product link. We fill in the details, and our team approves the listing.
Then test someone else’s product. Buy it on Amazon or SHEIN, use it, and post your honest review there. Your lum lands the moment you claim, and the price you paid comes back as lum too. If the review isn’t verified, the same lum is taken back.
Spend your lum on tests of your own product. You see the price before you commit, and unused slots are refunded.
Real people pick your product because they’d actually use it. They buy it, test it, and tell the truth, one star or five.
A moderator checks every review on the marketplace, and the lum is the same whatever the rating. A one-star review tells you what to improve, so five stars really mean something.
And here’s the best part. Join the waitlist, and be one of the lucky first two hundred: three months free, then just five dollars a month, for life.
Join the waitlist today. Sharelum: real testers, real reviews.
02The request
Every slot is paid for before anyone starts
A seller asks for 1 to 50 tests and pays for all of them upfront in lum, Sharelum’s points. Testers know the lum is already there. If a review never gets posted, the spot goes to another tester, so the seller never pays twice.

03The handoff
A real person picks it because they’d use it
Testers browse open requests and claim the products they genuinely want to try. They get their lum the moment they claim, before they’ve even tried the product, so the lum can’t depend on the rating. Then they buy it, use it and review it honestly on the marketplace. If the review isn’t verified, the same lum is taken back.

04Real use
Digital takes a day or two. Physical takes a month.
Digital products need no delivery, but they still need real use: a 500-word piece takes under a day, a 2,000-word book about two. A physical product has to be bought, delivered and used before anyone can honestly review it, so it gets 30 days. Delivery is up to the courier, not us, so thanks for your patience.

05The verdict
Every star is earned
Ratings run from one to five, and the tester picks the one that matches what they found. Nobody is told what to write, and the lum is the same either way. A one-star review tells the seller what to fix. That’s why five stars here mean something.

06The check
A moderator reads every single one
Every review is checked where it’s posted, on the marketplace. Verified, the lum stays. Not posted, not genuine, expired or cancelled: the same lum is taken back and the slot reopens for someone else.

07Everyone
Seller on Monday. Tester by Friday.
There’s no wall between the two sides. The people who ask for tests earn their lum by testing. It’s open for products sold on Amazon and SHEIN, plus a separate hub for books, and adds one marketplace at a time.
Sellers need honest reviews. Lots of people like trying new things. On Sharelum you earn lum, Sharelum’s points, by testing other people’s products — buy it, use it, review it honestly on the marketplace — and spend it to get yours tested. Lum can’t be bought.

Reviews on the marketplace
Posted there. Always honest.
1
The review lives on the marketplace
You post it on Amazon or SHEIN (books: Amazon) under your verified profile. Sharelum never hosts reviews — there’s nothing to paste here.
2
Honest, whatever it says
One star or five: nobody tells you what to write, and the lum is the same either way. Critical reviews are welcome.
3
Verified, or taken back
A moderator checks it’s posted and genuine. If it isn’t, the same lum comes back off and the slot reopens for another tester.
Lum is Sharelum’s points — short for lumen, the light in our mark. No money changes hands between members: you earn lum by testing things and reviewing them honestly, and spend it to get your own products tested. Five cards, one idea each.
01
A token you pass on
Lum is the only currency here. Members trade it for time and honest words — never for money, never for stars.
02
Earn it by testing
Pick a product you’d use. The lum lands the moment you claim it, whatever rating you end up giving. If your review isn’t verified, the same amount comes back off.
03
Spend it to get tested
Ask for tests of your own product. Each one costs lum, paid before anyone starts — so nobody works on a promise.
04
Nothing is lost
If a review isn’t verified, or a test expires or is cancelled, the lum goes back to the seller and the spot reopens for someone else.
05
You start with 1,600
The first 200 from the waitlist get 1,600 lum on day one. That’s your first tests, paid for today — before you test anything.

The first 200 start with 1,600 lum, enough for their first tests.
Your reviews come from people who chose your product and really used it, not from a script. A moderator checks every one.
For testers
Try new things. Keep your word.
Pick what you’d actually use and say exactly what you found. Your lum lands the moment you claim, whatever rating you give. If your review isn’t verified, it’s taken back.
For shoppers
Reviews you can trust
Every review comes from someone who used the product, under their own verified profile. Critical ones too, because that’s how sellers improve.
We’re opening one marketplace at a time, so each one starts with real members and real moderators. In the products app you pick the marketplace each product sells on: Amazon and SHEIN today, more later.
A community of real product testers, run by its members: a real person picks your product, uses it and posts an honest review on the marketplace under their verified profile, and a moderator checks every review.
Who is it for?
Anyone who sells online, and anyone who likes trying new things. Most members are both — they ask for tests of their own products and earn lum by testing other people's. Shoppers win too: more reviews from people who really used the product.
Isn't this just paying for reviews?
No. Lum lands the moment a tester claims a product — before they've used it or formed an opinion — and it's the same for one star or five, so there is nothing to gain from flattery. Nobody is ever paid for a positive rating, critical reviews are welcome, and a moderator checks that every review is genuine. If it isn't, the lum is taken back.
Do I have to post a review on the marketplace?
Yes — that's the whole point. Testers post their review on Amazon or SHEIN (on Sharelum Books: Amazon) under their verified profile. Sharelum never hosts reviews: no ratings, no review text, nothing to paste here. If the review isn't posted or isn't verified, the lum is taken back and the slot reopens for another tester, so the seller doesn't pay twice.
Do testers have to give a good rating?
Never. The tester gives the stars that match what they found, and nobody tells them what to write. A review only has to be honest and say enough to be useful. A one-star review that explains what isn't ideal gives the seller a chance to improve.
How does lum work?
Lum is how the community rewards testing — no money changes hands between members. You claim a product you'd use and its lum lands in your balance straight away. Then you buy it, use it and post an honest review on the marketplace. Once a moderator verifies the review, the lum stays; if it isn't verified, or the test expires or is cancelled, the same amount is taken back and returned to the seller. You spend lum to get your own products tested. A typical test is around 1,000 lum and you always see the exact amount first. The first 200 from the waitlist start with 1,600 lum — enough for their first test on day one.
How long does a test take?
Long enough to really use it. Digital items need no delivery but still take a day or two, depending on the effort: a 500-word piece in under 24 hours, a 2,000-word book in about two days. Physical products get 30 days, delivery included — the tester buys it, waits for it to arrive and uses it before reviewing. Delivery is up to the courier, not us, so a little patience goes a long way. Each test can be extended once if needed.
What if a tester never posts the review?
Every test has a deadline. If the review isn't posted and verified in time, or the test is cancelled, the lum is taken back from the tester and returned to the seller, and the slot reopens for someone else — so a seller never pays for a review that didn't happen.
Do the marketplaces endorse Sharelum?
No. Marketplaces don't endorse Sharelum or any similar platform, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we control is how Sharelum is built: reviews are written honestly and never paid for a positive rating, critical reviews are welcome, there are weekly limits on tests, moderators remove generic, AI-written or fake reviews, and accounts that abuse the system are closed. Following each marketplace's current rules is every member's own responsibility.
Can you promise me a number of tests?
No — and be wary of anyone who does. Every test starts with a real person choosing your product, so nobody can promise how many will. What we can promise is that you only pay for what happens: unclaimed slots, expired tests and reviews that aren't verified all hand the lum back.
Can I test my own product, or a friend's?
You can't claim your own listing. Other members' products are fine — including a seller who tested yours — as long as you'd really use it and review it honestly.
How many tests can I take on at once?
Up to five open tests at a time, and up to eight new ones in any rolling week. The limits keep everyone focused on using each product properly instead of rushing through a pile of them.
What can I list?
In the products app, anything you sell on a supported marketplace — Amazon and SHEIN today — and you pick the marketplace for each product. On Sharelum Books, a book you wrote or publish. Paste the listing link and our team checks it before it goes live, so testers only ever see real, available products.
Can I leave whenever I want?
Yes. Cancel the plan from Billing in the app, or delete the account in Settings → Security. Deleting asks for your password, and for a two-factor code when two-factor authentication is on. It signs you out, clears your lum and removes your name and email. A test that was already verified stays on the other member’s record as “Former member”. The first 200 from the waitlist aren’t asked for a card during their 3 free months. Lum has no cash value and doesn’t survive a closed account. Email support@sharelum.com when you can’t sign in.
Which marketplaces can I use?
Amazon and SHEIN, for now. There is one products app at app.sharelum.com, and you pick the marketplace each product sells on. Sharelum Books, at books.sharelum.com, is a hub just for authors and readers. We add marketplaces one at a time, so each starts with real members and moderators.
I'm an author. Is there something for books?
Yes — Sharelum Books. Readers choose the books they actually want to read — a free ebook (ARC), on Kindle Unlimited or as a paperback — and post an honest review on Amazon under their verified profile. A moderator checks every review, like everywhere else.
What does it cost?
The first 200 people invited from the waitlist get 3 months free with no card, plus 1,600 starter lum — then $5 a month, locked in for life. Everyone after them starts with a 7-day free trial, then $10 a month.
How do I get in?
Join the waitlist for your hub — the products app or Books. Invites go out in batches to the first two hundred people on the waitlist, and every friend who joins through your link moves you ten places up the line.
